Match Day 3 - 23rd of March 2006

The mighty FreeStream Scorpions were back tonight - well almost. In the end a 9 - 9 draw didn't reflect what an enthralling game it was...

Where do I start? The Scorpions kept up an annoying trend of starting slowly and before we knew it we were down 0 - 3. Then happened what can only be described as an amazing turnaround ... Kien Lee came on and electrified the field with a hat-trick of goals, then with the help of the ever dangerous Roccuzzo brothers another 3 goals were added and suddenly we were up 6 - 3. In the meantime, Serge managed to mangle his arm (yet again!) and was ordered off by the referee on the (lots of) "blood rule". Thanks to the staff at Airport West, he was put together again but spent most of the rest of the match losing his voice on the sidelines. We conceded an easy goal in the last second of the first half but still entered the break leading 6 - 4 and full of confidence.

flurry of goals that even the great wall of Simon couldn't stop. It meant we were down again, 6 - 7. However in true Scorpions spirit we came home strongly with Gordon and Roger defending brilliantly while Steve and David (despite the unwanted physical advances of the opposition) helped claw the team back to level pegging where it all finished. What a match! We unanimously voted that match as the most enjoyable we've ever played
